Job Title: Material Helper
Location: Galliano, LA
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Procurement/Materials Manager
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm – some Saturdays as needed.

Position Summary:
The Material Helper supports the construction and installation activities at the site by ensuring that all materials are properly handled, stored, and distributed. This role involves assisting with the transportation, inventory, and organization of materials to facilitate efficient construction progress.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in loading and unloading products from trucks and pallets.
· Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and cherry pickers safely and efficiently.
· Support the warehouse supervisor in maintaining inventory accuracy using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
· Help build and organize pallets for storage or shipment, ensuring proper stacking techniques are used.
· Follow OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
· Collaborate with team members to ensure timely distribution of materials within the facility.
· Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License (Required)
- Required Experience:
o Minimum 6 months’ experience operating 12K forklift or greater

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
