GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The QA/QC Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of quality control and quality
assurance. The role ensures that all construction activities, materials, and installations meet the
projects technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The QA/QC Lead
works closely with the construction teams, contractors, engineers and project managers to
guarantee that the solar farm is built to the highest quality standards while adhering to timelines and
budgets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
- Implement quality control and quality assurance plans, processes, and checklists based on
project specifications
- Oversee the inspection and testing of materials, equipment, and installations to ensure they
meet the required standards
- Ensure that all site activities conform to the relevant codes, standards, and guidelines (e.g., ISO
standards, local building codes, electrical standards)
- Conduct regular on-site inspections of ongoing work and completed installations, including
structural electrical, and mechanical components of the site
- Review test results for critical construction components, such as foundations, solar modules,
inverters, wiring and mounting systems
- Coordinate third-party inspections and testing as necessary and review their reports for
compliance
- Maintain detailed records of quality checks, tests, inspections and corrective actions
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QC/QA reports for the project manager and client
- Ensure all required certifications, permits, and documents are in place and compliant with local,
state, and national regulations
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and site personnel to resolve quality-related issues
- Provide guidance and training to on-site teams on quality control processes, procedures, and
best practices
- Lead and manage a team of OA/QC inspectors and technicians to ensure all aspects of quality
are addressed efficiently
- Identify, document, and track non-conformances and deficiencies in materials or workmanship
- Recommend and oversee corrective actions to resolve any identified quality issues
- Ensure that corrective actions are implemented and documented appropriately
- Ensure quality control and assurance practices align with the sites health, safety, and
environmental protocols
- Participate in safety audits and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in the QA/QC procedures
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by providing feedback and suggestions to
improve quality outcomes
- Valid drivers license
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Proven 3-5 years of experience in quality control and assurance, with at least 2 years in solar farm
construction projects
- Familiarity with solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) installations
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards for solar farm projects
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communications skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Auto CAD,
Procore, etc.)
- OSHA certifications or other relevant safety training is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 50 – 70 per week
