EVS Attendant
Department: Environmental Services (EVS)
Classification: Staff
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Reports To: EVS Shift Supervisor
Pay Grade: TBD
Location: All GLC Properties
Position Summary — The EVS Attendant cleans and maintains the appearance of the Casino public areas and public restrooms.
Essential Functions — An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Maintains the cleanliness of the facility (inside/outside) during the duration of shift.

Answers calls promptly and in a polite, friendly manner.

Cleans public rest rooms including scrubbing toilets, sinks, flooring, etc.

Responds to biohazard situations, cleaning the area thoroughly and in a timely manner.

Empties trash cans and takes out trash.

Stocks supplies in EVS closets at end of shift.

Assists others as needed with their assigned area.

Completes assignments with little or no supervision.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of various cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment used in maintaining a clean and sanitized environment.

Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols when handling cleaning chemicals, operating cleaning equipment, and ensuring the safety of guests and staff.

Ability to efficiently manage time to complete cleaning tasks promptly without disrupting casino operations.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and casino guests.
Other Requirements — Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D. All applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to beginning employment. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements — Must be able to see small objects in low lighting. Must be able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing an allergic reaction. Ability to reach, push and pull with hands and arms. Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
Work Environment — Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, and bright flashing lights.
Special Working Conditions — This position requires the flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays and responsible to cover shifts in the event of a call in.
