What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admitting Clerk - Casual position at Grand Lake Health System?
Hours of Job
Casual, as needed.
Hours vary from 5:15 a.m. - 1:45 p.m., 6:15 a.m. - 6:15 p.m., 8:15 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
Creates a positive impression for each patient, family member, visitor or staff while pre-admitting, admitting and/or registering, routing or escorting patients, family or visitors, serving as entity resource.
Registers inpatient and outpatient when needed.
In addition, obtains necessary signatures, completes paperwork, and distributes correctly.
Checks and rechecks all paperwork before it leaves the area for complete information and accuracy.
Requirements
Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
Education/Certifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience
Previous Admitting/Registration experience required.
Knowledge of medical insurances preferred.
