CMA or LPN - Miami & Erie Family Practice & Pediatrics

Hours of Job

• PT - Tuesday 9 am - 4 pm, Wednesday 9-4:30 pm & Friday 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

• No Weekends or Holidays Required

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of patient care in all Physician Practices through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

• Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary clinical personnel.

• Places the patient at the center of care.

• Collaborates and interacts positively with providers and other medical practice staff to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.

• May be required to support clinical colleagues according to patient volumes/acuity.

• Completes nursing assessments of patients by completing a history of present disease and illnesses with accuracy and documents appropriately in patient electronic medical records.

• Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in implementing physician orders.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Communicates effectively with providers, patients, and coworkers to maintain respect and a positive work environment.

• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• Or graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or will be graduating within 6 months of hire.

• Licensed LPN or Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA or other certifying body as deemed acceptable by the Practice Manager, or willing to obtain this certification within 6 months of hire.

Experience

• Previous experience in Physician Practices or Outpatient Clinics is preferred, but not required.
