Duties and Key Responsibilities
-
Responsible for the delivery of patient care in all Physician Practices through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary clinical personnel.

Places the patient at the center of care.

Collaborates and interacts positively with providers and other medical practice staff to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.

May be required to support clinical colleagues according to patient volumes/acuity.

Completes nursing assessments of patients by completing a history of present disease and illnesses with accuracy and documents appropriately in patient electronic medical records.

Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in implementing physician orders.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Communicates effectively with providers, patients, and coworkers to maintain respect and a positive work environment.

Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
Education/Certifications
-
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Or graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or will be graduating within 6 months of hire.

Licensed LPN or Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA or other certifying body as deemed acceptable by the Practice Manager, or willing to obtain this certification within 6 months of hire.
Experience
-
Previous experience in Physician Practices or Outpatient Clinics is preferred, but not required.
