Hours of Job
Part time, 28 hours per pay period.
Weeknight hours are 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.; Weekend hours are 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
Assists with Nursing Process.
Implements and documents clinical and technical aspects of care.
Assists in discharge planning.
Assists in patient/family teaching.
Assists in physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual care of the patients.
Performs POC testing, splinting, and assisting in minor procedures.
Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
Good interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, families, co-workers, and other customers.
Basic clinical skills delivering patient care and clerical skills in an outpatient setting.
Job requires ability to multitask without compromising productivity or customer service.
Must have basic clinical and clerical skills.
Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgement.
Required to maintain BLS and to complete training within one year for drug screens and Breathe Alcohol tests.
Must be computer literate with good keyboarding skills along with familiarity with medical terminology.
Must attend staff meetings, educations, trainings, and cross train to other units as needed.
Education/Certifications
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN with current valid LPN license.
Experience
A minimum of one-year experience in an appropriate health care setting such as physician office, hospital or clinic. Will consider other allied health with relevant experience.
