Occupational Therapist - P.T. Services

Hours of Job

• Part-time employment through P.T. Services.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

May be required to do some or all of the following, dependent on the business needs (including but not limited to):

• Provide occupational therapy evaluations both in the outpatient and inpatient setting.

• Work collaboratively with COTAs and other disciplines to provide excellent patient care

• Provide an Occupational Therapy program which will: improve, develop or restore functions impaired or lost through illness, injury or deprivation and improve ability to perform tasks for independent functioning

• Direct and supervise the activities of the Occupational Therapy Assistant.

• Maintain an efficient and effective schedule

• Maintain required certificate(s) and/or license(s).

Requirements

• Competent use of computer systems and software

• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 Coding.

• Customer service skills for interacting and communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds.

• Ability to work well in a team environment.

• Problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies

• A calm manner and patience working with patients and their families

• Maintaining patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).

• Ability to multitask.

• Ability to work under minimal supervision.

• Possess a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Education/Experience

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field

• State of Ohio Occupational Therapist License

• Valid CPR Certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
