Hours of Job
Full-time, 1st shift. 80 hours per pay period.
No holidays or weekends required.
Hours variable between 7:15 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs, conducting assessments, administering medications and vaccinations, and assisting with minor procedures.
Educate patients on health maintenance and medication management.
Maintain accurate patient records
Assist with appointment scheduling and insurance processing.
Collaborate with the healthcare team, ensuring a clean and safe environment while adhering to infection control protocols.
Engage in continuous learning and delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced setting.
May be required to support clinical colleagues according to patient volumes/acuity.
Collaborate with physicians and other health team members in implementing physician orders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Good interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, families, physicians, co-workers and public.
Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
Education/Certifications
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or will be graduating within 6 months of hire. Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA or other certifying body as deemed acceptable by the Practice Manager or will obtain this credentialing within 6 months of hire.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensed LPN.
Experience
Previous experience with electronic medical records.
Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
