Job Summary
The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the independent senior living community, ensuring that all systems and equipment are functioning optimally. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance management, including the implementation of preventive measures and efficient project management. The Maintenance Director will lead a team of maintenance professionals and collaborate with other departments to maintain a safe and productive environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement maintenance management strategies to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
- Oversee facilities management, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify issues and plan necessary repairs.
- Manage high voltage systems, ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed.
- Utilize logic controllers in troubleshooting processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices in equipment maintenance and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with project management teams on facility upgrades or renovations.
- Responsible for flipping apartments between resident moves.
- Manage and schedule the maintenance and housekeeping staff.
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance management within an apartment or senior living community.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for effective tracking of maintenance activities.
- Strong understanding of facilities management principles, including compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and other departments.
- Demonstrated ability in project management, managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office
