Job Description:
Grand Oaks Mail Center is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with their shipping and mailing needs for FedEx, UPS, and USPS services. You will provide exceptional customer service, accurately process shipping orders, and help ensure that all mail and packages are delivered in a timely manner. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with shipping needs, including FedEx, UPS, and USPS options.
- Provide information on various shipping services, rates, and delivery options.
- Process and package items for shipment, ensuring compliance with carrier guidelines and regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain knowledge of shipping rules and regulations for each carrier (FedEx, UPS, USPS).
- Offer solutions to customers regarding tracking, lost packages, and shipping-related issues.
- Process payments, handle cash and credit card transactions, and maintain a clean and organized register.
- Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels for packing materials, labels, and other shipping supplies.
- Ensure the store environment is friendly, welcoming, and professional at all times.
- Provide support with other mail center services such as faxing, copying, and notary services when needed.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency in all interactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications related to customer service or shipping is a plus.
- Previous experience in a retail, customer service, or shipping environment preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift packages and boxes (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of FedEx, UPS, and USPS services is a plus but not required (training will be provided).
- Positive, professional attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
