What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Director position at Grand Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation Center?
We are in search of a Full time Recreational Service Manager / Activities Director, responsible for developing and implementing quality social, recreation and community programs to ensure our residents are living their lives to the fullest.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Interview & Assess each resident's activity needs, interests and functioning level.
- Design & Modify recreation therapy treatment plans, goals, objectives, progress notes & interventions.
- Identify resources, activities, outings and people necessary to perform various activities through the day.
- Assess & complete sections of the Minimum Data Set assigned accurately & timely.
- Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team and attend resident care conferences.
- Provide leadership to the Activities Department & Volunteers.
Qualified candidates will have:
- A relevant degree in recreational services and/or therapeutic recreational specialist certification (or must be willing to obtain).
- a passion for working with the elderly and creating an environment that is fun and exciting.
