We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to be the cornerstone of our IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, and supporting our employees across multiple properties. This critical role will be the primary point of contact for all software and hardware support, ensuring seamless operation across the organization. You'll collaborate extensively with various departments, including property operations, finance/accounting, asset management, and IT, to maintain, update, and optimize the systems that drive our business.
This position is vital to the success of Grand Peaks' strategic objectives. We're looking for a Systems Administrator who thrives in a collaborative environment, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Your ability to understand their challenges and propose effective, technology-driven solutions will be key to your success and the overall effectiveness of our IT systems. This position requires a strong understanding of networking, server administration, and cybersecurity best practices, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for generating, auditing, and distributing information from Operations Systems to business departments as required.
• Configure application administrative settings in support of business-related requests.
• Coordinate business processes that align with the transfer or receipt of system data.
• Serve as liaison between end-users and system providers and validity of information.
• Ensure the security and integrity of company data through implementation and maintenance of security measures, including antivirus, intrusion detection, and data backup/recovery systems.
• Developing and documenting new processes that are timely as well as meet regulatory standards.
• Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
• Document system configurations and procedures.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and security threats.
• Collaborate with other IT team members and vendors.
• Manage and maintain access control and surveillance systems (if applicable).
• Support property-specific software applications (e.g., property management software, accounting software).
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred.
• 1-3 years of system administration or similar equivalent experience.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and VPN setup/configuration.
• Microsoft 365 products and Windows Server environments.
• Imaging/reimaging workstations and virtual machine management.
• Network security best practices.
• Ability to respond quickly and determine appropriate sense of urgency when warranted.
• Demonstrates ability to trouble shoot and determine resolution where no historical pre-defined solution exists.
• Strong working knowledge of property management software: Entrata and RealPage are preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in apartment community operation sufficient to understand the processes, procedures, and daily workflow relative to the use of computer applications and property management systems.
• Ability to translate technical information to non-technical customers in a friendly, professional manner and a demonstrated ability to build strong end-user-focused relationships.
• Ability to develop productive business relationships with internal team members through cooperation, courtesy, and professionalism.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills required to interact with colleagues and clients.
• Able to meet critical deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven record of providing strong customer service.
• Capable to travel, as needed.
