Cashier/ Gas Station/ Customer Service/Food Prep/ Firebaugh

We seek all positions - customer service representatives, cashiers, support, food cook, and prep. for our convenience store and gas station/ truck stop. We maintain a safe and friendly environment. Applicants need to be reliable, self-motivated, and customer service-oriented. All positions are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a gas station/ Store and completing many duties to maintain the station, including attending to and assisting customers, accepting payments, stocking the shelves and maintaining station organization, preparing hot food, and maintaining the cash drawer balance. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate. You should also be available to take evening and weekend shifts occasionally.

Ultimately, you'll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.

Advancement roles will be considered upon performance and availability. Full-Time shifts consideration is given upon their availability.

Requirements

• Work experience as a Cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Basic PC knowledge
• Familiarities with electronic equipment, like a cash register and POS
• Good math skills
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented
• Able to handle a shift without supervision.
• Cash handling, paperwork, Reconciling and Balancing shifts.
• Lifting to 50lbs
• Must be 21 or older due to alcohol sales; ABC Cert required, and a link will be sent for the state cert. (For sites that sell alcohol)
• Food Cert ( For sites that prepare food.)

Cashier responsibilities are not limited to the below-listed tasks/ responsibilities.

• Greet customers as they arrive at the gas station or the associated shop.
• Manage customer transactions using cash registers, Collect payments for dispensed gas, and tender change or receipts to customers.
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
• Collect payments, whether in cash or credit.
• Cross-sell products, introduce new ones and sell food, groceries, and vehicle-related items.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information.
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas.
• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
• Assist customers in determining methods of dispensing gas by instructing them or helping them pump gas.
• Ascertain that all gas dispenser receipts are filled and in good working order.
• Check for leaks or malfunctions, and ensure that any such incidents are reported to the supervisor.
• Ascertain the store items are adequately stocked and communicate low-stock situations to supervisors.
• Clean and sanitize shop areas and ensure no hazardous materials are present in or around the gas station.
• Prepare day-by-day reports.
• Sanitize parking areas and restrooms, and remove garbage.
• Assist customers in pumping gas or pump gas for them if required.
