POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician will have hands-on experience with industrial machinery, a strong understanding of preventative and corrective maintenance, and expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting plastic injection molding machines. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for building and grounds maintenance. Our maintenance technicians work closely with our assembly and molding team to listen and provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on assembly equipment, including plastic injection molding machines, robotics, and conveyors.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues on production machinery.
- Ensure minimal downtime by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and performing effective repairs.
- Collaborate with production teams to understand operational needs and provide technical support.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications to support production goals.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure machinery operates within safety and compliance standards.
- Train operators on routine maintenance and equipment troubleshooting as needed.to ensure any quality trends or concerns are communicated and addressed promptly.
- Perform building maintenance and grounds maintenance as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 year specializing in plastic injection molding machines (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency with tools, diagnostic equipment, and PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and preventive maintenance programs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to stand for extended periods, handle repetitive tasks, and lift up to 50 pounds
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
