Overview
Grand Rapids Metaltek is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality and Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Quality Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring all shipments meet customer requirements and all required safety protocols are met. Experience in a machining and manufacturing environment is a must. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control and a willingness to do whatever is needed to ensure we meet or exceed our customer's expectations.
Duties
- Oversee Quality and Safety departments.
- Perform in process and final part inspections.
- Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines, optical comparators and manual gaging tools for precise measurements and inspections.
- Complete required customer inspections reports such as PPAP and First Article Inspections.
- Work with production teams to improve processes and troubleshoot quality issues.
- Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated as required
- Collaborate with production to maintain and improve safety procedures.
Skills
- Proficient in use of calipers, micrometers and other gaging equipment.
- Experience with JobBoss is preferred.
- Knowledge of quality audits, inspection processes, and reporting methodologies.
- Experience in a machining environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
