Role Overview:
Ophthalmic Technicians/Medical Assistants are essential members of our team at Grand Rapids Ophthalmology. We seek individuals who can provide exceptional patient care, maintain a high level of professionalism, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
— Prepare patients for exams by performing initial testing and using equipment to obtain accurate results
— Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
— Comply with company policies and procedures including HIPAA
— Assist ophthalmologists in diagnosing and treating eye conditions
Requirements:
— High school diploma or equivalent required
— One year related experience and/or training preferred
— Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) is an asset
