SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Clerks job entails providing comprehensive administrative support in the
day-to-day operations of human resources.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Human Resources Clerk prepares and posts job advertisements, screens applications, arranges interviews and conducts follow-up correspondence after interviews. He/she provides general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, preparing forms and reports, arranging meetings, accurately entering data in automated departmental systems, attending promptly to telephone callers and composing regular correspondence. The Human Resources Clerk conducts research, gathers data and statistical information and maintains statistical reports for the interviews conducted. He/she keeps up with current issues and matters in the organization related to the Human Resources department. The Human Resources Clerk is responsible for the maintenance of the employee uniform inventory, including but not limited to, issuance, return and laundering of uniforms, sewing alterations, bi-monthly inventory report and upkeep of uniform room. Employee shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.
PREREQUISITES
GENERAL:
Must be 21 years of age or older. Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Non-Gaming license. Must have 20/20 corrected vision. Must have proficient computer knowledge and be able to type at least 40 wpm.
EDUCATION: High school graduate, GED or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE: Six months secretarial experience preferred but not required.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Familiar with the operation of a personal computer required, including competency in word processing (Microsoft Word) application. Working knowledge of spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), email systems (Microsoft Outlook) and database management systems preferred. Working knowledge of a sewing machine and ability to make basic clothing alterations preferred. Requires exemplary human relations skills.
PHYSICAL: Requires repetitive hand/finger motions, tolerance for sitting for long periods, bending reaching, standing, walking, speaking, hearing and visual acuity in (or corrected to) the normal range. Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
