What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry/Uniform Attendant position at Grand River Casino?
SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES
- Responsible for the issuance of uniforms to current and/or new employees.
- Perform minor alterations and sewing duties on uniforms when needed
- Collect all daily laundry from housekeeping staff including Lodge Attendant(s) and Resort Housekeeper(s).
- Sort and prepare all loads of laundry for washing.
- Remove stains from items using the appropriate procedures.
- Keep an updated inventory of laundry chemicals, linens and uniforms.
- Ensuring all chemical orders are reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Maintain records of laundry equipment based on repairs and maintenance.
- Ensuring that the facility remains clean at all times.
- Complete weekly usage reports of chemicals.
- Employee shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements – Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.
- Other Duties as assigned.
PREREQUISITES
General: Must be age 21 years old. Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Non-Gaming License. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to work without Supervision.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Physical: Requires stamina for constant movement of walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, repetitive motions, pushing heavy cleaning equipment/carts, working in a warm environment, working with a variety of cleaning chemicals; must have the ability to lift 50 pounds frequently. Must possess hand and finger dexterity for using tools and equipment.
