POSITION TITLE: Lodge Clerk
REPORTS TO: Lodge Director and Lodge Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Lodge
DOL STATUS: Non-exempt
SUMMARY:
Assists casino customers in all aspects of the Gift Shop, Lodge and switchboard.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Lodge Clerk accurately makes reservations and checks guests in and out in a timely and accurate manner. He/she is responsible for directing incoming switchboard telephone calls to the appropriate party. The Lodge Clerk substitutes for the night auditor when needed and completes all paperwork and logbooks accurately. He/she assists in the gift shop by waiting on customers, arranging merchandise displays and taking monthly and annual inventory of all merchandise. The Lodge Clerk is responsible for any other duties as assigned by either the Lodge Director or Lodge Supervisor. Employee shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.
PREREQUISITES:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Non-Gaming license. Must have 20/20 corrected vision and not be color blind. Must have outstanding customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED or experience in lieu of.
EXPERIENCE: Six months experience in an area of customer service preferred. Must have at least 3 months experience working with computers preferred.
PHYSICAL: Must be physically able to withstand continued standing and sitting for 8 hours or more and be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach and grasp and have good finger dexterity.
