What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waitstaff position at Grand River Casino?
SUMMARY:
To provide customer service and ensure guest satisfaction while performing all required duties of the job. To work with all of your fellow GRC employees together as a team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Wait Staff will seat the guests and take their orders using suggestive selling techniques. He/she services the guests by serving drinks, taking and delivering orders and completing follow-up checks in an appropriate time frame. Wait Staff is responsible for operating the cash register and accounting for all sales. He/she maintains the cleanliness of the restaurant, including busing of tables. He/she will assist in restocking of the Wait Staff area, dessert cooler and tableware and any other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Director and/or Supervisors. Wait Staff will be willing to cross-train for other positions within the Food and Beverage department. Employee shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.
PREREQUISITES:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Non-gaming license. Must have 20/20 corrected vision and not be color blind. Must have the ability to pass TIPS training and to obtain a food handlers card. Must have great customer service skills.
EXPERIENCE:
Three months experience in the restaurant field preferred but not necessary. Must possess knowledge of basic mathematical skills.
PHYSICAL:
Must be physically able to withstand continued walking and standing for periods of 8 hours or more and be able to withstand bending, reaching, grasping and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
