POSITION TITLE: Youth Campground Attendant
REPORTS TO: The Bay Manager or Campground Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: The Bay
DOL STATUS: Non-exempt
SUMMARY: Ensures the needs of campground and cabin guests are met while keeping the grounds secure and safe.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Campground Attendant examines all property, facilities, and equipment to ensure their security and reports any incidents, damage, and hazardous conditions noticed while on patrol on foot or by other means of transportation pursuant to departmental policy. He/she cleans the campsite areas and ensures public bathroom facilities are in good, sanitary condition. They will collect entry fees and verify the entry of individuals into the campground and boat dock areas. The Campground Attendant will also operate the cash register, do accounting of sales, do collection of payments and will perform till reconciliation and complete all paperwork correctly. They will notify security or surveillance of persons engaging in suspicious activity. They will display exceptional customer service at all times and complete other duties assigned by the Bay Director or Bay Supervisor.
PREREQUISITES:
Must be 16-17 years of age. Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal non-gaming license. Must have 20/20 corrected vision. Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL:
Must be physically able to tolerate outdoor conditions and withstand continued walking, especially long distances over uneven terrain, standing, kneeling, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
