What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Nurse Aide position at Grand River Health?
BASIC FUNCTION: As a critical part of the healthcare team, the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) provides various direct, quality patient care activities to residents in a long term care environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists patients in activities of daily living such as dressing or undressing, bathing, eating, etc.
- Implements specific procedures and programs
- Coordinates work within the department as well as with other departments
- Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor and documents resident interactions as needed
- Responds to inquiries or requests for information
- Assists immediate supervisor and nurses with tasks to support department operations
- Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have an active valid license as a Certified Nurse Aide in the State of Colorado.
- Must have current BLS card upon hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent or preferred.
- Two years of practical experience in a CNA position preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age.
SALARY INFORMATION:
- $17.50 - $26.57 Dependent on experience may vary outside this range
- Additional $2.00 - $4.00 an hour for additional weekend and night shifts
- Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
