What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Project Assistant position at Grand River Health?
BASIC FUNCTION: The Information Technology (IT) Project Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting and facilitating the successful execution of IT projects within Grand River Health. This position involves providing administrative support to IT staff, supporting project activities, managing documentation, coordinating meetings, and assisting with general office tasks. This position requires communicating with team members and stakeholders, and providing support to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects from initiation to completion
- Maintain detailed project schedules, supporting assigned tasks and monitoring deadlines
- Maintain project documentation including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes
- Generate reports on project metrics, milestones, and key performance indicators
- Serve as a point of contact for project-related communication between team members, stakeholders, vendors and project managers
- Administrative support, office supply management, technical assistance, resource management, risk management, quality assurance of projects, vendor coordination, and change management.
- Training and onboarding of new team members to project workflows and processes and coordinate training sessions as necessary.
- Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma, degree in information technology, business, or a related field preferred.
- Two years of experience in project coordination or a similar role.
- Basic understanding of IT concepts and project management methodologies.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record System preferred.
SALARY INFORMATION:
- $24.65 - $30.98 hourly dependent on experience
- Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
