POSITION TITLE: Nurse Practitioner
DEPARTMENT: Grand River Health Clinic West (GRHW)
REPORTS TO: Administrative Director of Clinic Operations
JOB PURPOSE: To improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.
BASIC FUNCTION: Assesses, plans and provides direct patient care for Primary Care patients. Examines patients, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data including health history and results of examinations. Works in collaboration with Physicians to assess the physical needs of patients admitted. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests. Advises patients about continuing care. Orders, interprets and records results of clinical tests and reports results to Physicians and other departments. In addition to clinical duties, participates in quality assurance planning, initiatives and improvement projects. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Requires active Colorado licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in area of specialty based on RN licensure and Colorado authority for advanced practice.
Requires a current BLS card that must be maintained throughout Grand River Hospital District employment. ACLS & PALS cards are required within 6 months of initial employment and must be maintained throughout GRHD employment.
Experience: 3 to 5 years working experience in a clinical setting in a similar role preferred.
SALARY INFORMATION :
$56.00 - $60.66 Dependent on Experience
