Cashier Cage Representative

SUMMARY

The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing varied cashier and club functions in a pleasant, efficient, and honest manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Under the direction of the Cage Manager, the incumbent is responsible for controlling and accounting of transactions for the cage window and chip bank.
• Exhibit all conduct in accordance with Nevada Gaming Regulations and GSR policies and procedures, as well as all federal and state laws and regulations.
• Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Reasonable for the impress bank issued.
• Perform guest and in house monetary transactions.
• Balance and issue impress bank to floor attendants, food and beverage, and hotel employees.
• Enter patron transactions into the company computer system accurately.
• Prepare paperwork, balance sheets, and documents in accordance with our standards and procedures and within the guidelines of internal controls.
• Transfer cash, chips and checks between cage and departments in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Strictly adhere to department policies and procedures in order to maintain integrity of the cage operation.
• Comply with Federal 31 Procedures.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring reasonable gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
• Comply with all departmental and company policies.
• Maintain excellent communication skills and interpersonal relations with guest, vendors, visitors, and GSR staff.
• Display professional conduct, sound judgement, the highest level of professional integrity, and strong work ethic.
• Perform other duties assigned.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• One (1) year of cash handling experience is required.
• Six (6) months of casino cage cashier experience strongly preferred.

AGE REQUIREMENTS - Candidate must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

CERTIFICATIONS - Able to qualify for Nevada Gaming license.

Is regularly required to sit; stand; walk and move through all areas of the casino; speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
