What are the responsibilities and job description for the EVS - Utility Porter position at Grand Sierra Resort?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Clean Employee & Public Guest Restrooms, Locker Rooms; Swab toilets & urinals with proper chemical-cleaning & sanitizing inside and outside of toilets & urinals. Clean stall dividers/doors and wall tile, clean & polish towel/tissue dispensers, mirrors, and all metal and chrome surfaces. Empty & clean ashtrays, clean wash basins, vanity area. Dust chair/stool legs and wipe down. Dust & wipe down tops, fronts and side of lockers. Dust air vents, grills, light fixtures & ceiling fans. Sweep & mop floors. Clean locker room, pick up debris from floor & benches. Remove gum from floors & carpeted areas. Vacuum carpeted areas. Wipe baseboards. Refill soap, toilet paper, toilet seat covers, paper towels and other dispensing machines.
- Clean Casino & Public Spaces; Pan & broom carpeted areas, including edging. Vacuum all carpeted areas. Dust & polish stools, brass/chrome tables, chairs, machine fronts, signage, wall hangings, statues, art and all furnishings. Dust air vents & grills. Clean & wipe down walls & ledges. Clean and empty ash trays and garbage receptacles. Dust & mop non-carpeted floor areas. Dust artificial plants. Remove gum from floors and carpeted areas. Reposition furniture if necessary. Use proper safety signage.
- Clean Offices; Maintains the cleanliness and physical appearance of public areas, restrooms, casino, lounges, restaurants, arcade, bowling center, etc., as well as employee areas, cafeteria, offices, restrooms, etc. according to established standards of cleanliness and quality. Report all maintenance issues.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a cleaning position preferred. Any combination of education, training, or experience listed that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
