Reporting to the VP of Production, the Coordinating Producer is responsible for the production of multiple studio and field based shows for GST. This position requires coordination between stakeholders for the planning and execution of all creative initiatives. This role is the point person for all production elements, communication and documentation between all shareholding departments. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader establishing team processes and procedures to deliver expected outcomes within aggressive timelines and budgets. Grand Slam Track is seeking an experienced Coordinating Producer to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. Reporting to the VP of Production, the Coordinating Producer is responsible for the production of multiple studio and field based shows for GST. This is a hybrid freelance position based in Los Angeles, remote at first and in-office within the next few weeks. This position potential for domestic and/or international travel. This role reports to the VP of Production and starts January 2025 through June 2026. The rate range is $3500-4000/week DOE.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but are not limited to):
- Broadcast & Live Content Oversight
- Coordinate and lead check in meetings, tasks and elements for Tech, Post Production, Talent, Marketing, Athlete, Sponsorships etc.
- Approve schedules, assign tasks coordinating with different departments (camera crews, graphics, editors) to ensure smooth production flow.
- Collaborate with Creative Producers on Live broadcast needs, segment breaks and distribution
- Review content before broadcast to ensure accuracy, assess risk and adherence to editorial standards.
- Oversee technical elements of multi-camera broadcast production
- Help ensure proper resource allocation across projects
- Work cross-functionally with teams including Talent, Finance, Business Affairs, and Clearance
- Monitor production schedules and deadlines
- Lead staff with kindness under aggressive timelines and high expectations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7 years of experience in sports broadcast production or similar content oversight role, **required**
- Background in sports broadcast production **highly preferred**
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Film/TV or related field, or a combination of related education and experience may be considered
- Proven track record on large scale productions
- Experience with multi-camera broadcast operations and technical direction
- Demonstrated success in digital content creation and distribution
- Superior problem solving abilities and calm demeanor under pressure
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple moving parts while meeting deadlines
- Technical knowledge: production equipment, broadcast workflows, and editing software.
- Ability to quickly adjust to changing circumstances and find solutions to challenges.
- Experience with digital workflow systems and modern production technologies
- Knowledge of emerging media platforms and content distribution channels
- Strong relationships within the broadcast industry
