ROLE OVERVIEW:
Grand Slam Track is seeking an experienced Line Producer (or seasoned Senior Production Manager with budgeting experience) to track expenses and handle budgets for broadcast, premium documentaries, digital media, and alternate content streams. The Line Producer will work closely with Creative, Talent, Finance, Business Affairs, Media, and Clearance departments to support the league's strategic goals, ensuring compelling broadcast coverage and innovative content development across all platforms.
This position requires coordination between colleagues and outside vendors for the planning and execution of all production initiatives. As a team leader and staff manager, the LP is responsible for budgeting deliverables and detailed execution in the areas of broadcast operations and production management. The Line Producer is responsible for budgeting, monitoring and actualizing costs for projects included in our broadcast. The successful candidate will be a strong leader establishing team processes and procedures to deliver expected outcomes within aggressive timelines and sometimes limited budgets. This is a hybrid freelance position based in Los Angeles, remote at first and in-office within the next few weeks. This position has potential for domestic and/or international travel. This role reports to the VP of Production and starts January 2025 through June 2026. The rate is $3200/week DOE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Budget and coordinate Features for broadcast production
- Coordinate with venue production teams to ensure production plan accounts for venue specs and vice versa
- Manage relationships with partners and production vendors
- Ensure consistent quality and brand standards across all content
- Track rights and clearance costs for all broadcast content
- Collaborate with the Talent team to execute broadcast talent payments.
- Establish and monitor production schedules and deadlines for Features
- Lead support staff under aggressive timelines and high expectations
- Create and actualize production budgets, developing scope of work and financial planning.
- Develop and maintain a detailed shooting schedule, coordinating with department heads to optimize filming time
- Secure filming locations, obtain permits, and coordinate logistics for on location shoots
- Negotiate contracts with equipment rental companies, caterers, and other vendors
- Oversee logistics, transportation, set construction, catering, and other logistical aspects of production
- Ensure that the production adheres to technical standards, creative vision while staying within budget
- Maintain adherence to industry safety regulations and union guidelines where applicable
- Oversee the transition of the project to postproduction, ensuring all necessary materials are delivered
QUALIFICATIONS & DESIRED SKILLS:
- 5 years of experience as a Line Producer (or seasoned Senior Production Manager) in broadcast production or similar content oversight role, **required**
- Proven track record in managing large production budgets
- Excellence in budget analysis, payroll, production accounting and financial reporting
- Superior problem solving abilities and calm demeanor under pressure
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Production Management, or related field, or a combination of related education and experience may be considered
- Background in sports broadcast production preferred
- Experience with digital workflow systems and modern production technologies
- Strong relationships within the broadcast industry
- Expert understanding of budgeting and financial management
- Ability to manage complex schedules and multiple moving parts
- Negotiating contracts with vendors and securing favorable deals
- Clear and concise communication with all levels of production team
