Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The caregiver will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care tailored to each client's needs.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with mobility and transferring clients safely.
- Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare providers regarding client status.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or working in settings such as Level I or Level II Trauma Centers is advantageous.
- Experience in teaching hospitals or clinics is a plus.
- Knowledge of geriatric care practices is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, including understanding inpatient care dynamics.
- A caring attitude and the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
