Responsibilities

- Support individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting independence while ensuring safety and comfort.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to assist clients in mobility or during transfers.
- Implement care plans that may include hospice care and long-term care strategies.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring adherence to resident rights and dignity at all times.
- Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, following established protocols for client safety.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, families, and healthcare providers to promote effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
- Previous experience in patient care or as a Personal Care Assistant is preferred.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility needs.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in hospice care is a plus.
- Strong observational skills for monitoring patient conditions and recognizing changes in health status.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
