What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grooming Operator (Full Seasonal) Winter 24/25 position at GRAND TARGHEE RESORT LLC?
SUMMARY
Operate over snow, vehicles (groomers) to distribute snow on slopes. Offer our guests the safest, most skiable, desirable and fun terrain possible. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Maintains a continuing learning curve by evaluating performance by the hour and the shift.
2. Records all information regarding the equipment being operated by taking advantage of all training available and information provided by the crew leader and supervisor.
3. Always maintains an awareness of surroundings and safest way to navigate the equipment by evaluating all directions and safety information available.
4. Completes all tasks safely with no damage to equipment or to areas of work.
5. Maintains a working knowledge of the equipment; how it operates and the safest way to operate the equipment through constant attention.
6. Maintains a focus on quality of product and an awareness of all hazards & surroundings by keeping distractions inside equipment to a minimum.
7. The proficient use of vehicle attachments like compactor bars, tillers, and blades.
8. Maintain the assigned equipment in a routine manner.
9. Keep records of operations.
10. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results.
11. Performs other tasks as assigned.
12. Flexible working hours. Some job sharing may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
1. Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Grand Targhee guests at all times.
2. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
3. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
4. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
5. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
6. Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
