Job Summary
Italian Fine Dining restaurant seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating process. This role requires excellent customer service skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for hospitality. The Host/Host will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience and maintaining the flow of service.

Duties

• Greet guests as they arrive with a friendly demeanor and assist them with seating arrangements.
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely service.
• Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
• Assist with guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests to enhance their dining experience.
• Utilize POS systems for managing reservations and tracking guest preferences when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Experience

• Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective guest interactions and teamwork.
• A background in hospitality or hotel services is a plus, as it enhances understanding of guest relations.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail is crucial.
• A positive attitude and willingness to help others contribute significantly to team success.
