Core Responsibilities:
Coaching and Skill Development:
- Plan and conduct practice sessions to develop volleyball skills and strategies.
- Analyze player strengths and weaknesses to improve individual and team performance.
- Prepare athletes for competitions, ensuring they are physically and mentally ready.
- Teach fundamental volleyball skills and techniques.
- Manage and Guide program from Elementary level to High School.
Character Development and Mentorship:
- Model Christian values and principles in interactions with players, parents, and staff.
- Emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and respect for others.
- Encourage players to pursue sports and competition with a Biblical worldview.
- Be a positive role model, demonstrating humility in victory and grace in defeat.
Team Management:
- Organize and manage team activities, including practices, games, and travel.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes.
Faith-Based Integration:
- Look for opportunities to integrate faith-based principles into coaching and team activities.
- Encourage prayer and spiritual reflection within the team.
- Be a Christ-like example, building relationships with players and their families.
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of player attendance, performance, and progress.
- Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay current on coaching techniques and best practices.
- Contribute to the overall success of the athletic program.
Qualifications:
- Coaching Experience: Previous experience coaching volleyball, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
- Religious Background: A strong understanding of and commitment to Christian principles.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- First Aid and CPR Certification: Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check.
Pay can be negotiated depending on skill set.
