Description:
At Grand Traverse Canvas Works we create custom high quality canvas covers, awnings, and specialty products. Sewing staff assists with patterning, cutting, and assembling all these projects with lots of variety in materials, designs, and applications.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has some sewing experience with a strong desire to learn, thrives in a collaborative environment, and continually looks for ways to improve processes, designs, and improve the team as a whole. We are looking for someone that has a fun, confident, and positive attitude with a keen eye for quality and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who wants to hone a technical and rewarding craft.

What you will need:
Previous experience with commercial sewing machines preferred
Willingness to learn
Strong communication skills
Sharp attention to detail
Ability to work full-time with some expectation of over-time during peak weeks.
Ability to perform tasks that require physical ability to manipulate large, bulky material, with dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Enthusiasm, desire to be a part of a team, and ideas are a must

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
