QHSE Coordinator

The QHSE Coordinator is responsible for quality, environmental, health, and safety programs within the plant to ensure production meets the customer needs. This person will be responsible for dealing with customer nonconformance, investigating supplier issues, and utilizing continuous improvement methods. As a member of the plant management team, you will be responsible for evaluating opportunities to improve overall plant quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

Essential Duties

· Collaborate with production teams to manage, maintain, and improve manufacturing quality and safety systems including leading continuous improvement efforts and corporate safety initiatives.

· Facilitate and maintain company environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs including communications, conducting employee trainings, and supporting quality, safety, and environmental audits.

· Ensure that the plant is following and upholding the environmental state standards for manufacturing facilities.

· Analyze production and incident data, conduct investigations as necessary, identify root cause, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement quality and safety protocols.

· Maintaining and enforcing all AIB/ISO policies and procedures.

· Assist production associates, from a quality perspective, to work efficiently and effectively.

· Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Knowledge and Skills

· Ability to identify and define problems and create solutions.

· Extensive knowledge of QHSE regulations and policies.

· Proficient with precision measuring tools.

· Ability to communicate with others to ensure coordination of other functions such as operator training, machine calibration, communication of quality & safety guidelines, etc.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

· Contribute to building a positive team spirit & morale to foster group commitment to goals & objectives.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent GED required. Associate degree or higher preferred or equivalent certifications.

· Minimum of 1-3 experience in a manufacturing environment.

· An understanding of OSHA, ISO, AIB, and EPA requirements.

Physical Demands

· Ability to regularly lift or move 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls: reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

· Overtime is required with occasional weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,656.00 - $68,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
