The Position: As the Human Resource Generalist/Manager, you will work alongside the organization’s CFO, COO, and other staff on a variety of responsibilities and projects. This position includes tight deadlines and a multitude of human resource and financial activities and will report to the organization’s CFO. The exact responsibilities for this position will be determined by the experience of the candidate hired.

Responsibilities:
· Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accurate timekeeping, managing payroll deductions, complying with payroll regulations, and resolving employee payroll inquires.
· Manage, analyze, allocate, pay, etc. employee benefits, payroll taxes, payroll withholdings, 401(k), health insurance, garnishment, FOC, etc.
· Lead the employee onboarding process and related employee setup within various software packages and communicate with 3rd parties to enroll employees in various benefit packages.
· Guide/lead employees in navigating organizational benefits, answering HR policy and benefits questions, and open enrollment.
· Maintain work injury reports and manage worker compensation claims.
· Oversee the benefit programs by keeping abreast of changes to the plans, communicating the plans and relevant changes to employees, and providing 3rd parties with relevant paperwork and/or applications
· Develop, revise, implement, oversee, and maintain company policies and procedures for the organization.
· Assist in recruiting and facilitating the hiring of qualified candidates for open positions.
· Lead the annual liability insurance and workers compensation audits.
· Maintain proper employee files in digital form that comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
· Lead or assist with various other items including sales tax reporting, PPE & truck inspection reports, safety training, tool account reporting, commission calculations, etc.
· Other assignments and responsibilities as necessary.
Requirements:
· Education and/or Experience –bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of two years of experience.
· Language Skills –Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
· Reasoning Ability –Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Computer Skills –To perform this position successfully, you should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook. QuickBooks experience preferred
Other Skills – Must have strong organizational, communication and time management skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and a positive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
