What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitness Instructor (PT) position at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa?
SUMMARY
To Promote Personal Training and maintain the integrity of the position by uphold the policies and procedures of the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop cliental through personal and direct contact with Members and Hotel Guests, via phone calls, being highly visible and the establishment of seminars and educational programs.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and kept in working condition.
Increase the revenues of the Health Club through increased guest/member involvement in our fitness program.
Conduct all initial fitness consultations/orientations with resort guests and members.
Conduct personal training.
Organize and/or conduct wellness workshops.
Attend weekly Manager Meetings and monthly Staff meetings.
Adhere to Club proposed budget by striving to meet revenue projections, controlling expenses and by preparing for the Budget projections for the following year.
Perform other duties as assigned by management
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Current Red Cross Standard First Aid Certificate Required
Current Red Cross Adult or Community CPR Certificate Required
Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field preferred
Group Training/Personal Training certification preferred
Personal Training experience

WORKING CONDITIONS
Noise level is moderate. Working environment is indoors/outdoors in variable weather. Hours and days required are varied and will include nights and weekends.
