What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Lobby Attendant (PT) position at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa?
SUMMARY
This position will serve internal/external guests through maintaining and cleaning the public and employee areas of the resort. The delivery of all essential duties must be at a 4 Diamond level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To be completely familiar with complex and outlying areas (I.E. Restrooms, Pools, Locker rooms, Clubhouse, Afternine)
Initiate and aid in effective communication between housekeeping and all other departments using Wow, Go & Please strategy.
Keep radio, cart and keys safe and secure at all times
Respond immediately to all pages received
Always follow knocking on doors procedure when entering public restrooms
Report any unusual circumstances to your supervisor or any major stains on carpeting
Offer all assistance possible for your guests
Immediately report to your supervisor or the housekeeping office any damage for furniture or furnishings
Keep public restrooms stocked and cleaned to the expectations of housekeeping management
Maintain the locker rooms and empty dirty garbage and linens where applicable
Dust/Mop/Vacuum all areas of the resort where needed and requested of you by your Supervisors
Maintain lobby including furniture, windows, dust and vacuuming to create a wonderful first impression for our guest
Complete all assignments requested of you
Must follow proper grooming and dress standards set forth by the Employee Handbook
Maintain open line of communication with supervisor
Must understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Some housekeeping experience preferred
Knowledge of resort helpful
Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid Michigan driver’s license and be insurable by the resort’s policy
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Positive, upbeat attitude is a must. Open communication skills, both written and verbal. Dedicated to ensuring the highest service level possible in all areas.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear
Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must clean bathrooms that may at times be in adverse conditions.
Ear pieces must be worn at all times so as to not interfere with ours guests stay.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS
Ability to work under stressful conditions within designated time frames. Will be required to take direction as business dictates.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
COMMENTS
Native American Preference will apply. Must be able to pass a background investigation and a Drug Screen as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and take on additional responsibilities when asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
