Grand Valley Bank is looking to fill a full-time Credit Analyst position at our 7th Street branch, located at 925 7th St. in Grand Junction, CO. This position is scheduled for approximately 40 hours per week with full benefits.
Job Summary:
The Credit Analyst works closely with the lending team and its client base to evaluate and manage new and existing lending relationships by analyzing financial statements and other information related to creditworthiness. This position is responsible for assisting applicants with the completion of loan documents, gathering and reviewing credit data to evaluate agricultural and commercial loan requests, and analyzing various sources of financial information (such as financial statements, credit bureau reports and cash flow) to determine potential risk and profitability of the loan, while staying compliant with lending terms and Bank policy guidelines. The Credit Analyst will provide support to the Loan department with the daily administration of loans and other related bank needs.

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A CREDIT ANALYST:
- Dynamic relationship management skills
- Knowledge of how to build and maintain a loan portfolio
- Excellent judgement
- Solid understanding of lending products and practices
- Loan underwriting and financial analysis experience
- Must be detail-oriented and compliance minded
- Familiarity with computers, banking applications, and software
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize on competing demands
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional attitude, appearance, and voice
- Articulate in both written and verbal communication
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Disciplined and accountable
Education and experience required
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related degree is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- May need to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
COMPENSATION: In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act, compensation differentials for this position are based on multiple factors, including but not limited to: education, experience, training and skillset. All compensation offers are analyzed individually.
