INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT: •Bachelor’s degree with proper teaching licensure program required. •Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required. •Experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred. •CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged. •Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments. •Participate in professional growth opportunities. •English language skills. •Math and accounting skills. AGENCY: •Develop, plan, prepare, and implement: oCourse content, format, structure, and schedule. oIndividualized programs of instruction for students. oClassroom materials and curriculum. oLesson plans and learning activities. •Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction. •Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation pertinent to academic, social, and emotional progress and needs of students. •Support all Garfield County School District 16 policies, procedures, and expectations. •Interpersonal relations skills. •Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. •Ability to manage multiple priorities. •Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. •Operating knowledge of and experience with typical educational/instructional technology equipment and programs. QUALIFICATIONS: •Bachelor’s degree with proper teaching licensure program required. •Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required. Reports to: Principal Direct Reports: Responsible for supervising the behavior and well-being of students in the classroom, getting on and off the bus, at recess, lunch, and to and from classes. BUDGET AND/OR RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITY: Assist with planning and monitoring classroom/department budget.
