The Quality Inspector is responsible for executing quality inspection operations, as described in the manufacturing router.
Role and Responsibilities :
- Read blueprints, drawings, plans, and routers to fully understand the desired customer requirements and specifications.
- Plan inspection procedures and methods, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.
- Perform a wide variety of gauging set-ups and devise methods of checking unusual parts.
- Perform quality inspections on a wide variety of machined metal parts of complicated form with exceptionally close tolerances, ensuring the final product meets the provided specifications.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records. Report any anomalies / non-conformances.
- Participate in non-conformance investigations and the resolution of quality-related issues.
- Able to use common inspection tools (calipers, tape measure, micrometers, etc.).
- Possesses knowledge of GD&T

Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED required, education in vocational or technical school preferred. Minimum of 2-5 years in a manufacturing setting in an inspection role or related field. Possesses working knowledge of ISO 9001 : 2015 and statistical process control.

Works in a manufacturing environment and is exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes and / or airborne particles. The employee will be required to wear eye, foot, and / or other personal protective equipment while performing duties. May on a frequent basis squat, climb, push / pull objects, lift up to 25 lbs., and use hands / fingers for grasping and reaching. May on an occasional basis bend at the waist; reach above the shoulder; turn or twist body; lift up to 50 lbs.; carry up to 35 lbs.; and use hands / fingers for fine manipulation. The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to loud.
Additional Notes
Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Full-time work week is 40-55 hours, Monday – Friday, 10-hour days Monday – Thursday. 12-hour shifts are sometimes required to meet delivery schedules. Saturdays (1 / 2 days) as needed.
