What are the responsibilities and job description for the Memory Care Director position at Grand Victorian of Zionsville?
Responsibilities:
- Designs and facilitates the Community Memory Care program, promoting active participation from residents, family members, and team members
- Oversees the budget and implementation of a cost-effective Memory Care program, including managing an inventory list of equipment and supplies and maximizing resources available
- Creates and sustains a welcoming and safe environment which promotes resident wellness and independence
- Participates in the resident move-in process through initial wellness assessments and the development of individualized care plans
- Trains, schedules, and leads the Memory Care clinical team in providing exceptional care experiences, providing hands-on support, education and training opportunities
- Delivers health promotion services and dementia care education services for residents and families
- Engages with residents and family members in a compassionate and impactful manner, creating a lasting and positive experience
- Contributes toward quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Coordinates the Communitys infection control program while maintaining state regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
- Maintains current state Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, Social Work licensure, or Dementia Care Professional certification
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in dementia care
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity
