Responsibilities
Under general direction of the Supply Chain Manager, the Distribution Center Lead & PAR EX Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of supply management as it pertains to storeroom inventory and the use of PAR Excellence hardware, software, and reporting platforms. The Distribution Center Lead is responsible for improving the delivery of supplies throughout the hospital & helping units receive the supplies efficiently. This role interacts with staff throughout the hospital to answer questions, assist with new / changing supplies and acts as the first point of contact between the nursing units and stock team / purchasing staff.
Essential Functions of the Distribution Center Lead :
- Install Par Scales, wiring, controllers, print & set up labels to assign bins and register scales.
- Check on Par Ex orders for proper integration with MMS and investigate open orders, conversion factor alignments and resolve any PAR EX issues
- Communicate with PAR EX tech support and DPC (or any future MMS) to create dialogue and open forums for troubleshooting and finding solutions and best practices
- Lead the storeroom team to handle all aspects of their workload efficiently while creating an environment where customer service is emphasized.
- Train employees to use AS400 / MM system and PAR EX
- Helps oversee accurate inventory count of supplies in storeroom by utilizing suggested ordering to keep ahead of stockouts and backorders and ordering approved substitute supplies when needed.
- Communicate with department personnel to assist with supply needs and resolve any supply related issues.
- Run stockout, suggested, open order and other reports as needed.
- Assist with replenishing supplies from changing / closed units and put back in rotation before expiration.
- Guide team to keep the storeroom organized and label shelves and supplies for ease of locating and picking supplies.
- Restocks storeroom shelves daily or as needed, to provide the storeroom with a well-balanced workflow.
- Reviews and evaluates opportunities for process improvements – relating to storeroom, inventory, PAR EX, etc.
- Delivers supplies to departments to provide a timely and accurate delivery process to the hospital; issues supply appropriately using MMS
- Assist the team in any conversion projects as required / appropriate to minimize waste & maximize savings.
- Ensure that expiration dates in the Distribution Center are reviewed and handled appropriately; including replenishment supported departments.
- Act as PAR EX Superuser for department.
Schedule : Monday - Friday; 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm, rotating weekend - approx. one 4-5 hour shift every 3 to 4 weeks.
Qualifications
Education and Experience :
High School Diploma / GED and over 3 years to 5 years Storeroom inventory experience required
Over 1 year to 3 years PAR EX equip and software experience required
