Responsibilities
Grand View Health is seeking an energetic, patient focused Certified Rad Tech to be part of our MRI Technologist training program.
The MRI Technologist performs imaging utilizing the appropriate equipment for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment planning with regards to patient care. The MRI Technologist Training Program demonstrates competency in skills necessary to care for patients served. Competent to perform multiple types of Imaging involving Emergency Room Patients, surgical patients, inpatients and outpatients. Good technical and communication skills required. Ability to work with all levels from staff to physicians. Ability to triage quickly in a fast-paced work environment.
Essential Functions :
- Selects appropriate equipment and supplies including Coils needed to perform each procedure to provide continuity of care.Selects proper technical factors / sequences according to established protocol and study requested to produce quality images.Positions the patient according to established protocol to provide optimum diagnostic information and MRI safety.Assist radiologists and staff physicians as requested to promote continuity of care.Performs quality control on all completed studies prior to radiologist interpretation to assure optimum information and verify all studies in PACS.Ensures equipment viability through performing established warm up procedures and equipment quality control.Calibrates equipment and performs required quality control procedures daily to assure equipment viability.Communicate procedural instructions to all patients prior to examination to assure patient comprehension.Reviews the daily patient schedule to maximize efficiency and minimize patient waiting time.Practices proper infection control and MRI safety including burn preventionPassionate regarding MRI safety
Qualifications
Education and Experience :
Vocational diploma from an AMA approved radiologic technology program required
Associate's Degree from an AMA approved radiologic technology program And Over 1 year to 3 years’ experience as an Imaging Services Technologist preferred
Licenses and Certifications :
MRI Tech Certified required within one year of training program
BLS Certified within two weeks of hire, training provided by Grand View Health
