Grand View Urgent Care is looking for a part-time Registered Nurse for our Urgent Care Center located. The Registered Nurse is accountable for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care for patients served. The Registered Nurse collaborates with other members of the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes in the Urgent Care setting.
Essential Functions
Education and Experience
Vocational diploma Nursing Diploma minimum requirement required Or
Associate's Degree preferred
Over 6 months to 1 year as an acute care Registered Nurse preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
Licenses and Certifications
Registered Nurse in PA – Licensed, Upon hire, required
Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Upon hire, preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS), Upon hire, required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Within 1 year of hire, required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Within 1 year of hire, required

Essential Functions
- Assesses and monitors the overall needs of patients and family. Ensures that required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Interprets and correlates diagnostic data with physical findings in order to assess the patient and plan appropriate intervention.
- Demonstrates competency in performance of skills necessary to provide care to ill adolescent, adult and geriatric patients by following approved standards in order to provide safe care.
- Implements providerss orders and nursing plan of care according to established standards.
- Administers medications safely according to established policies and procedures.
- Organizes and establishes priorities for workload in order to complete assignment within their shift.
- Evaluates patient response to nursing intervention in order to revise/update the plan of care.
- Evaluates patient and significant other/family’s response to education, and revises teaching plan as needed.
- Knows location, function and use of emergency equipment in order to appropriately respond to emergency situations.
- Recognizes potential and actual emergency situations promptly, and responds within established guidelines to meet the needs of the patient.
- Understands proper function of equipment, recognizes potential safety hazards and reports and documents malfunctioning equipment to maintain a safe patient environment.
- Acts as patient advocate to assure that patient needs are met.
- Maintains patient confidentiality to assure patient’s rights to privacy.
