What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacist position at Grand View Hospital?
Responsibilities
This is an inpatient pharmacist role assuring clinically appropriate and safe medication distribution to all patients. The pharmacist will:
- Review and verify inpatient and outpatient physician orders,
- Perform clinical dosing functions,
- Check and prepare medications to restock automated dispensing machines
- Prepare medications in a USP797 compliant IV room.
- Process outpatient employee prescriptions on occasion.
- Supervise technician staff who will assist with the above functions.
Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Every other weekend and occasional Holiday.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy, required Over 6 months to 1 year Computer Experience preferred Licenses and Certifications:Pharmacist – Licensed, Upon hire, preferred
