Responsibilities
The Physician Assistant OBGYN shall deliver comprehensive patient care for this designated patient population throughout the care continuum. The Physician Assistant OBGYN will function as a clinical expert for this population and will work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary and inter professional team to coordinate and deliver all aspects of care, including, but not limited to, inpatient consultations, physical examinations, provisioning orders, participating in daily hospital rounding, first assistance operating room duties and discharge planning. The Physician Assistant will perform patient assessments and coordinate patient management autonomously, with physician collaboration and supervision as appropriate, and in accordance with hospital policies and Pennsylvania State legislation. The Physician Assistant's scope of practice includes the following elements: direct patient care, medical and procedural intervention, operative first assistance, education, performance and quality improvement.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:Master's Degree graduate of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant Program required 1 year(s) of OBGYN experience preferredLicenses and Certifications:Physician Assistant Licensed in PA, Upon hire, requiredBasic Life Support (BLS), Upon hire, required
