Position Overview:
The Golf General Maintenance position is essential for ensuring the optimal condition and aesthetic appeal of the golf course and its facilities. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining the greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and overall landscape, contributing to an exceptional experience for all guests. This is a seasonal position requiring early morning starts and may also require working half days every other weekend. This position requires collaboration with other team members to implement maintenance schedules and respond to any immediate needs that arise. Ultimately, the goal is to create a pristine and welcoming environment that enhances the enjoyment of the sport for players of all skill levels.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on golf course greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers, including mowing, aerating, and fertilizing.
- Inspect and maintain golf course equipment, ensuring all tools are operational and safe for use.
- Assist in the implementation of landscaping projects to enhance the visual appeal of the course.
- Collaborate with the grounds keeping team to develop and execute maintenance schedules.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping a plus.
- Basic knowledge of horticulture and turf management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in turf management or related field.
- Experience working on a golf course or in a similar recreational environment.
- Familiarity with operating maintenance equipment and machinery.
