About the Role:
The Golf Mechanic at Grand View Lodge plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of all golf course equipment and machinery. This position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, thereby enhancing the overall golfing experience for our guests. The Golf Mechanic will work closely with the groundskeeping team to ensure that all equipment is in top condition for daily operations. By maintaining the equipment, the Golf Mechanic contributes to the safety and enjoyment of our guests while also supporting the sustainability of the golf course. Ultimately, this role is vital in upholding the high standards of service and quality that Grand View Lodge is known for.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on golf course machinery and equipment, including mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems to ensure timely repairs and minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on all equipment.
- Collaborate with the groundskeeping team to schedule maintenance activities and ensure equipment availability.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in golf course equipment maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in mechanical repair, preferably in a golf course or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of small engine repair and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in small engine repair or related field.
- Experience with golf course maintenance equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and hydraulics.
