Job Summary:
Grand Villa of Palm Bay is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team. The Activities Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, and implementation of recreational activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and creating a fun and engaging environment for them.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing recreational activities for residents
- Encourage resident participation in activities and events
- Assist in setting up and cleaning up after activities
- Escort residents to and from activities
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities
- Assist in decorating the facility for holidays and special events
- Provide one-on-one interaction with residents who are unable to participate in group activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with seniors preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
